Jonathan Braun

Since February 2020, Jonathan Braun has been the President of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS), representing over 800’000 students across the globe.  

Prior to his current position, Jonathan founded, in 2015, the Geneva Union of Jewish Students – ARIEL. Under his presidency, ARIEL was awarded 'The Best Developing Local Jewish Student Association' and 'The Best Local Jewish Student Association' in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

As the former Vice President of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), he worked with numerous Jewish organizations and student groups to help develop Jewish campus life and empower Jewish students to fight discrimination, antisemitism and double standards targeting the State of Israel. This included addressing the UN Human Rights Council under item 7 to defend Israel and the rights of the Jewish people. Jonathan holds Swiss, Israeli and French citizenships.
